Chapter 7 - Kelly Barnes

This chapter helps explain different ways to integrate sources into papers, such as paraphrasing and summarizing. It was interesting for the passage to also explain how to avoid plagiarism when paraphrasing or summarizing. The chapter suggested to read the passage and write down what you remember. Another suggestion was to take notes when doing research so you never forget where your information came from, therefore avoiding plagiarism. The chapter did provide useful information, though I feel as if the information has been covered before. The chapter gave information about citations, such that MLA and APA citations are the most common, but this is information that has been covered before. Overall this chapter gave some useful, though repetitive, information in regards to using sources in papers in the future.
