This chapter is going to help a lot when writing the research paper. It taught me how to integrate sources and cite them, which I haven't have had that much experience with. Some things I already knew and other things I had no clue about. I didn't know when it is better to quote or paraphrase. Basically, you quote when you cannot paraphrase or summarize something. I'm going to use all of these guidelines when I'm writing my paper.

I agree that there were a lot of points from this chapter that I "already knew" even if I did not learn them in a traditional way. Specifically, I often use summarization with proper integrated citation yet I was never taught that this is the right thing to do nor have I formally learned how to do it.
