Chapter 7 Response
I am happy that the chapter went over the proper way to MLA cite some things. It gets confusing for me when I can't find an author or a page number and it talked about what to do in these situations. Seeing a bibliography broken down into what each part means helped me learn what is really going in there. After writing the annotated bibliography part of the research paper, I had used a machine to create the citation but now seeing what each part represents helped me to learn the fundamentals. A lot of the rest of the chapter went over things we learned in class like quoting and paraphrasing but this chapter helped to smooth it out. I feel like this is a very good chapter to have bookmarked because it has information I will look back to in all my years of college. I looked briefly over the MLA citations and skipped the APA because it seems I will never use that.
I agree that citing can be confusing. When writing our papers, we can go back and look at the chapter if we have any questions.
ReplyDeleteI think I will also reference this chapter sometime throughout my college career. I am always scared of being accused of plagiarism even if I did not intentionally do it.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the information about MLA citations was useful. It could be helpful in the future when revising or creating annotated bibliographies.
