Chapter 7 Ryan
I think that this chapter was helpful, but it covers things we've been learning for a while. It was good to see the difference between paraphrasing and summarizing because the two are pretty similar. It did get specific on what a paraphrase/ summary should look like and I thought that that was helpful. It was also helpful to see when in our essay we should use each tactic it gave us. The section towards the end about MLA style should be pretty helpful when I do works cited in the future.
In my case, a lot of things I learned about citations were just surface level, so I gained a lot of insight from the book going as in depth as it did.
ReplyDeleteWhile I didn't learn anything very new, I saw how a citation and bibliography is put together and it was interesting. I may need to do it all on my own one day so I appreciate this chapter.
ReplyDeleteI agree we've learned about this stuff before. It's still useful to use when writing.
ReplyDeleteThats defiantly a hard part for me too because the interrogation of your sources into your article is just s important as knowing the articles themselves. I know Ive always had a hard time imputing them into my essay because it has to be fluent and make scene in the context of what you are saying.
