Arielle Powell- Subversions and Redemption

1. Some examples that the author mentions are: GTFTS, THE ABZ BOOK, and The Big Bad Wolf, from the wolf's perspective. Another one could be Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I saw this is a subversion because you would not expect the book to take a turn the way it did. The only sensible person in the whole book is Alice herself. Another example could be Struwwelpeter. This can be a subversion because it talks about consequences of misbehavior in a very exaggerated way.
2. I really enjoyed GTFTS because I found it hilarious. It shows the frustration that the parents have put their children to sleep. I think the audience is parents of young kids. Parents should not be reading this to their kids.
