Subversion and Redemption -- Jordan Arrington

1.  The author mentions quite a few different examples of subversion like:
   The ABZ Book
   It's Just a Plant
   Heather Has Two Mommies
   
   Two other examples of subversion I can think of are the movies "Deadpool" and "V for Vendetta." Deadpool is an example of subversion as the very hero himself goes against everything that a superhero generally is and the writing of the movie mocks the established norms. V for Vendetta is an example of subversion because the movie's plot is about overthrowing a government and the film takes the side of the essential terrorist, which is something you never see in films.
   
2.  As an older brother to two younger siblings and uncle to two more children, I can appreciate everything that the author of GTFTS says and laugh at and understand the father's frustration. The book is definitely targeted towards adults specifically parents or babysitters.
