“The Multiple Media of Texts: How Onscreen and Paper Texts Incorporate Words, Images, and Other Media” Reading Response

For my wix website project I am going to incorporate as many elements as I can to create an efficient visual of my genre. “The visual presentation of a page or screen gives you an immediate sense of its genre” says Wysocki. The arrangement of text on the screen can help the reader form expectations about the piece of writing they are about to read. I will make my project have a positive vibe to it by using big and rounded text that hopefully can portray that it is a positive subject. I want the font to also be aesthetically pleasing and neat. The neat writing in big and round font will be easy for people of all ages to read. It is not too casual or too fancy so it will appeal to all audiences. The organization of my web page will be casual as well I want to get my point across in a way that everyone can understand. I want to make it look like a collage kind of like a tumblr page. I want to have little video clips in squares and some quotes and paragraphs in other squares. It will look really clean and it will be easy to understand the flow of thoughts. “because there are only the objects and a few pieces of unemphasized text on this page, arranged as they are, my eyes move around the objects circularly.” Says Wysocki. This quote describes what I want to do with my web page except of a circular view I want it to be a square view. I want the color scheme to be cool tones like blue and green because I associate therapy dogs with calming things. Cooler colors create a calm aesthetic and will make the whole web page have a calming vibe. Also my dogs collar is blue and I want to put some pictures of her on the website.
