WYSOCKI BLOG POST - Arielle Powell
Before reading this text I never thought about fonts or how much visual components play a part in a paper or in the literature on a whole and ties into a genre. Even though I have not set my mind on one particular genre that I want to complete yet, I do have in mind the different ways I want to convey my ideas. In this paper, Wysocki spoke about typeface which I did not know existed. Having these different typefaces play a role in how your message is conveyed and how it will come across to the reader. I really liked that he pointed out the visual elements in a text and how it ties everything together. He spoke about looking at a screen or page itself and the questions you would ask. Wysocki also says sound plays a part in what the are trying to be conveyed. He goes into analyzing multiple media. I did not read everything thoroughly but my favorite part of the whole paper is when he went into depth about analyzing the different types of platforms.
