Subversion and Redemption- Lane Clifford
1. Some subversion examples the author uses are GTFTS, The ABZ book, Tom Sawyer, and Where The Wild Things Are. Two other books that are subversions could be The Wizand of Oz and Peter Pan. These books celebrate independence, explore the ideas of running away and daydreaming.
2. I think the book GTFTS is actually a really good idea because it is entertaining for parents to read to their kids and the kids probably don't even notice the taboo of it. I don't think its bad at all to use swear words around young children because they are just words and they exist so they are going to hear them anyways.
