Chapter 10 : Arielle Powell
I found this chapter very helpful in figuring out exactly what I want to do with my multi-genre project. It gave examples as to what needs to be included in the project and how to make your project a success. This chapter explained that if you do not reach your audience in one of the genres then you have failed. The chapter has a sort of rough draft of what the project should look like. Reading this chapter help me to understand there is more to genre once again than I thought. For example, you could take the persuasive route for one of the genres and have either a photo essay or a slide show, or take a narrative route and conduct an interview. This chapter makes me feel much more confident in what I want to do.
I agree I really thought reading about the examples helped me feel more confident in what angle I want to take for each portrayal. I also do think that reaching the audience is very important for the project, however to keep in mind what audience you are trying to reach.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I don't know exactly how I want to execute the use of genres, this chapter sparked some ideas with me and I am trying to appeal to two different sides of the emotional spectrum.
