Compared to the other chapters in this book, I found this one actually quite helpful with it providing little details of things that we will actually use in our research paper. Like how to integrate quotes, paraphrases and summarizes properly into our papers. I like how it explains that using too many quotes can hurt your essay because, as it says, you’re “handing over the microphone” to that person so it’s not from you. But quotes are really important for me because once you can give a quote you can support it or not and give reasons plus analysis to support your claim on their quote. Giving multiple examples of this from other articles was very helpful and insightful. And if you start to use too many quotes that’s when you can paraphrase and do the same thing but you have to let your audience know it wasn’t your original idea.  Again, the examples associated with the paraphrasing and summarizing sections were very helpful.  Last but not least, and the most important section, is how to cite your sources and all the examples were given in MLA which is a big help since that is what we are suing. But while writing my research paper I’m definitely going to reference this section so I can site my sources correctly.
