Transgender
de Jong, Dirk H.1, ddejong@siena.edu. ""Living in the Tension in-between"--Faculty Members Talk about Faith and Transgender Issues in Christian Social Work Programs." Social Work & Christianity 44.3 (2017): 75-93. Web.
This article begged the question of why do religious conservative people discriminate against transgender people even though their religion stresses the acceptance of difference. Although suggestion is given to integrate the kids, the article states that "certain conservative Christian beliefs seemed instead to lead to ambivalence on the part of several of the study’s participants"(de Jong, 89). The overall plan is to begin integration of unique children with children of Christian conservative backgrounds at a slow pace until they can coexist in schools without any feeling of being left out or being different
