This
article takes a survey of the suicide risk associated with prison, specifically
prisons in the New Guiana are and how they vary from other European areas. They
try to fill this unstudied gap and relate it to WHO statistics (their
statistics have a much broader stroke) and mention variations stated by that
department. They go to mention that some of their study limitations involved prisoner
bias, some didn’t answer and may have had different risk, and that they sample
may have changes based on time spent in incarceration. They push for further study
on the different times spent within incarceration for the future.
