Olivia Barada Ch. 7
After reading this chapter I found it very helpful and to the point. Compared to other readings that seemed to be dragged out. This reading explained how to summarize a source, when you should summarize one, how to paraphrase, and quote from a source. I enjoyed the many examples they gave me because I was able to see all the information that was being taught in different types of genres and articles. The section talking about plagiarism, I believed to be the most important. Today students will get lazy and try to pass others works as their own even if the words are rearranged. It gives many tips to help avoid it.
I didn't realize it but yeah it was more direct than the other chapters, it gave the list then explained it then gave an example and moved on to the next subject. The multiple examples made it easy to understand because you were able to see multiple situations and when to use each strategy.
