Chapter 1

The first chapter has completely changed my perception on genres. It has made me realize there is so much more behind them, than what I knew. As humans, we choose amongst genres every single day of our lives. I had always assumed genres only involved books and music. I also never paid attention to audience, which is actually a very important aspect. You don't need to be a pro on genres, but it is helpful to have some knowledge about them.
