"Shitty First Drafts"

I really enjoyed reading "Shitty First Drafts". It was not like anything I have read before. Since I'm not that great of a writer, I completely understand what Lamott was talking about. I like how she was honest because most good writers don't like to admit their struggles. When I sit down to write a paper, I find myself starring at the piece of paper for several hours. This made me more confident in my writing abilities and I'm looking forward to having a fabulous semester!

I feel the same way, it's nice to hear from a real author that not all great writers like to admit their struggles! I too am looking forward to writing my first draft and taking this advice.
