"Shitty First Drafts" Response
Tyler Wilson
Personally, I felt that "Shitty First Drafts" touched upon an aspect of writing that is familiar to practically all writers, from a 6th grader writing his first essay, to you, to me, all the way up to professional writers such as Stephen King. While this aspect is familiar, it can be greatly discouraging at the all-too-common moments when we sit down to begin writing and find that the inspiration we so greatly need refuses to come bursting out of us. "Shitty First Drafts" is a refreshing reminder that it's naturally human to miss the mark on our first attempt at something, and of the exponential improvements we tend to make following that first attempt.

Your response is very uplifting to me. I can remember writing essays in 6th grade, and I see how far I have come.
