Really Responding - Stephen A
1. I really liked the layout of this text. It's very structured and is basically a step by step guide on how to peer edit effectively.
2. Definitely, "What Are Your Goals" and "How to Sound" are the two sections that stood out to me. I think when us students get assigned a peer-review day, we just brush it off as a useless class period. But if we go into the class knowing our goals for the other person's edit, and how to effectively communicate our critiques and praises, we can make the most of a usually useless situation.
3. I have done peer reviews since high school. Most of mine have usually been of very little use to me because people usually do not care enough to make good, constructive criticism. Peer-reviewing is really hit or miss.
