This text did surprise me. Teachers often times initiate peer reviews without any instructions on how to properly do it. This made me feel there was no special way to peer review and you just did whatever you want. I’m surprised that there are techniques and expectations.
These strategies can definitely help me with peer reviews because before hand I had no idea what I was doing. The two strategies that struck out to me the most was the one that stated first just read and rely your understanding of the paper. Second was the one that said comments should be phrased as suggestions and not take on a judgemental tone.
